Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee the entire parts department and staff at Sheehy Auto Stores. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting with customer service, and ensuring the mechanics have the necessary replacement parts to complete maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Planning: Participate in departmental planning and create annual budgets to ensure the efficient operation of the parts department.
  • Inventory Management: Reconcile daily parts invoices, track daily gross sales, and reconcile parts/warranty return reports to maintain tight control over inventory.
  • Customer Service: Ensure the quality of customer service provided by the parts department and provide on-the-job training for staff.
  • Marketing and Reporting: Coordinate parts marketing and calculate and submit monthly obsolescence reports to inform business decisions.
  • Leadership: Hold weekly department meetings and attend weekly manager meetings to stay informed and aligned with company goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Must have at least 5 years of related experience, preferably with Reynolds & Reynolds experience.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and Motor Vehicle Record check and drug test.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
