Position Overview: Operational Medicine Instructor III

We are in search of an Operational Medicine Instructor who will educate and mentor individuals on operational medicine subjects through diverse teaching strategies. This role encompasses delivering lectures, facilitating interactive discussions, and supervising hands-on training exercises. The ideal candidate will apply contemporary Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) techniques, create educational resources, and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.

The selected individual must remain updated on advancements in tactical medicine, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the improvement of educational programs. Furthermore, they will lead a team, manage instructional responsibilities, and assist in program management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily instructional tasks and assignments
  • Provide specialized training in operational medicine
  • Design course materials and training resources
  • Assess training outcomes and recommend improvements
  • Travel to various locations for training purposes
  • Facilitate practical training exercises
  • Manage training supplies and equipment
  • Support class coordination and administrative duties
  • Adhere to security protocols to protect sensitive information

Supervisory Duties:

  • Guide instructional activities and mentor team members

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience as an Instructor II or in a comparable role
  • Significant military or related field experience
  • Completion of required training programs or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Experience in training logistics
  • Capability to meet physical demands
  • Expertise in instructional techniques
  • Collaborative team player with leadership experience
  • Relevant experience in training or instruction

Security Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

  • Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks

Travel Expectations:

Travel to various training sites, both domestic and international, is anticipated.
