We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team as a Clinical Leadership Opportunity. This individual will provide leadership for APPs within the Division of Hospital Medicine and Department of Medicine at Unity Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with multiple diagnoses in various settings. They will also provide oversight of orientation and on-boarding of newly hired APPs for the department, as well as assure the on-going development of programs and provide support for all APP staff.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and possess a New York State License to practice as an APP. They will also have exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Clinical Leadership Opportunity will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illness and injuries, incorporating evidence-based practice into patient care, and developing, justifying, and implementing short and long-term staffing needs of the area.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for training of students and other APPs as requested, working with supervising physician/administrator to perform duties including, but not limited to: hiring, scheduling, staffing, performance management, and evaluating changes in clinical practices and formulating recommendations regarding appropriateness and cost effectiveness in collaboration with the local leadership.

The Clinical Leadership Opportunity will be a key member of our team, working closely with local clinical and operational leadership to develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of our patients and community.
