The City of Fife, WA is seeking a highly skilled Aquatics Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Aquatic Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service, safety, and efficiency in all aspects of aquatic programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Develop and implement aquatic programs that meet the needs of our diverse community, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and special events.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of aquatic staff, including lifeguards, swim instructors, and customer service representatives.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our patrons, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Aquatic Center, including pool equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure the safety of our patrons and staff by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase program participation and community engagement.
  • Financial Management: Manage the Aquatic Center's budget, including program revenue and expenses.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as recreation, education, or business.
  • Experience: Minimum four years of experience in aquatic programming, management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Blood-Borne Pathogens, AED, and Lifeguard Training.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.

Working Conditions:

The Aquatics Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced aquatic environment, with frequent exposure to water and potential hazards. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods is required.
