- Oversee Product Development: Design, develop, and validate new products and processes.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Drive continuous improvement initiatives with production, supply chain, and customer service teams.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve quality issues through corrective actions.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain industry standards and certifications, such as ISO/TS 16949.
- Optimize Processes: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the engineering function.
- Implement Best Practices: Streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage Engineering Projects: Plan, execute, and deliver engineering projects within budget, on schedule, and according to specifications.
- Lead and Mentor a Team: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among quality and engineering professionals.
- Monitor and Report KPIs: Track and report on key performance indicators related to quality and engineering performance.
- Liaise with Customers and Suppliers: Address quality concerns and drive improvements with customers and suppliers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or Quality Management. Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality and engineering role within the automotive industry, with metal ICE components background.
- Management Experience: 2 years of management experience.
- Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) are a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and APQP.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership and team management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in quality and engineering software tools and systems.
