Quality Assurance Specialist

SUMMARY: The Quality Control Associate at Allied Stone Inc. plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and excellence of stone countertop manufacturing. This position involves thorough inspection and validation of materials, processes, and final products to ensure they meet the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Examine raw materials, including granite and quartz slabs, to confirm compliance with quality specifications.
- Perform visual inspections and precise measurements throughout various stages of the production cycle.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to evaluate the precision of cuts, edges, and dimensions.
- Detect defects or inconsistencies and work closely with production teams to resolve and correct issues.
- Document and maintain detailed records of inspection outcomes for quality assurance documentation.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Supervisor to refine and enhance quality control protocols.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts to streamline production methodologies.

- Knowledge:
- Comprehension of stone countertop production techniques.
- Acquaintance with quality control methodologies and instruments.
- Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Proficient in meticulously assessing materials and finished goods.

- Effective Communication: Capable of clear communication with production personnel and supervisors.
- Time Management: Skilled in prioritizing tasks to adhere to quality control timelines.

- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The position is situated within a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and machinery. Safety measures and personal protective equipment are provided.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capability to stand, walk, and navigate the production area for extended durations.
- Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity in using precision tools and equipment.
TRAVEL:
- This role does not require travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with stone countertop production processes.
- Basic understanding of quality control tools and techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in quality control within stone countertop manufacturing.
- Certification in quality control or a related area.
