Compensation: $18.00-$22.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.

As an Assistant Manager at Car-X Tire & Auto, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily store functions, ensuring the efficient, productive, and safe management of our service areas. This position serves as an excellent entry point into a rewarding career with Car-X. From day one, you will engage in a comprehensive management training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills for your new responsibilities while preparing you for future advancement. As a vital member of our team, you will foster enduring relationships with our customers, delivering exceptional service and ensuring their vehicles are safe and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Store Manager to manage store operations and make decisions regarding hiring, training, coaching, and employee performance management.
- Assist automotive technicians in creating a productive sales environment by training and developing team members on all shop operations and customer service.
- Help with employee scheduling, timecard management, and task assignments for Lube and Tire technicians.
- Perform automotive technician duties as required.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on tools, parts, and repair techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive services and sales.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Physical ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and basic math skills for calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Customer and team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive State Inspector License.
- ASE Automotive Certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in automotive sales or quick lube services.
- Previous leadership experience.
