About the Role:

As a Senior Front-End Developer at Tetra Tech, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the front-end interface for our AI solution using JavaScript. You will collaborate with other team members to integrate AWS services such as Lex, Bedrock, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, and other services. Your goal will be to optimize web applications for scalability and work regularly with the customer to develop and deploy innovative solutions with a strong focus on AI technologies within Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and other cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the front-end interface for our AI solution using JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with other team members to integrate AWS services such as Lex, Bedrock, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, and other services.
  • Optimize web applications for scalability.
  • Work regularly with the customer to develop and deploy innovative solutions with a strong focus on AI technologies within Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop enhancements for existing applications built using React.js.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in web technologies and AI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on front-end technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Strong understanding of React and its core principles and 2+ years of experience building applications using React.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and modern HTML/CSS libraries.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as NPM, Babel, Webpack, etc.
  • Experience working with and integrating AWS services into web applications, specifically AWS Lex, Bedrock.
  • Experience using Git/GitLab version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of building and maintaining AI-powered chatbots or conversational interfaces.
  • Experience building/deploying server-side applications and APIs with Node.
  • Self-driven and proactive in staying up to date with advancements in web development, AI, and cloud technologies.
