Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City Vein Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and performing routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate radiology equipment to produce quality images as ordered/according to department protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum.
Assist in the care and maintenance of the facilities, equipment, and supplies while abiding by NYU Langone Health infection control policy and procedure.
Accurately utilize the radiology information systems.
Practice effective radiation protection in utilizing appropriate shielding devices when possible.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, a Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of radiology or imaging services, and a current New York State Radiologic technician license or temporary permit. You must also become registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within six months of hire. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are required. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are also necessary. Thorough knowledge of radiography equipment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years of radiologic technology experience is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
