Job Title: Self-Checkout Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Associate to join our team at Winn-Dixie Retail Stores. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers by providing exceptional service and support at our self-checkout lanes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage self-checkout lanes to prevent inventory losses and ensure accurate scanning and recording of products.
  • Provide proactive customer assistance and education on the self-checkout process to minimize errors and promote a smooth experience.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, creating a positive shopping environment and subtly discouraging fraudulent activities.
  • Respond promptly to Point-of-Sale alerts and notifications, investigating any potential issues with transactions or discrepancies in scanned items.
  • Report any incidents of theft, suspicious behavior, or equipment malfunctions to store leadership.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • High standard of integrity and reliability.
  • Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
