Job Summary:
The Staff Registered Professional Nurse III is a key member of the Northside Hospital team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
- Independently manage care of an assigned group of patients, utilizing the Northside Nursing Collaborative Care Model.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain expertise in clinical knowledge and practice, assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of 2 years' full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training in Level I, II or III nursery; newborn; NICU and/or Mother/Baby units.
- Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation.
- Newborn admission assessment experience.
- Proof of annual continuing education credits and/or hours in newborn care; minimum of 16 hours/credits within the past 2 years.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree in Nursing.
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty.
- Other preferred RN attributes are unit specific.
