Job Title: Staff Nurse III - Clinical Systems

Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Atlanta, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the quality of our services. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse III - Clinical Systems to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse III - Clinical Systems is a key member of our nursing team, responsible for managing the care of assigned patients in accordance with our hospital's philosophy and policies. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and competent patient care, adhering to current guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical developments and technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care and improve clinical systems.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
  • Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Other required certifications and education may vary depending on the specific clinical unit.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN degree
  • National Certification in Clinical Specialty
Emergency Department Requirements:
  • Obtains ACLS certification within one year of employment and renews certification per national standard.
  • Maintains advanced assessment skills for a variety of emergent and non-emergent conditions.
  • Provides care for patients of varying age and acuity, including multiple injuries, MI, CVA, OB/GYN emergencies, and other medical/surgical conditions.
  • Performs triage, determines acuity, and implements an individual plan of care.
