Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Technician to join our team in Beltsville, MD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our truck fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including documentation of work performed and parts used.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
  • Valid CDL Class A and/or State driver's license required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
