Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the nursing program to maintain standards of resident care and optimize the geriatric care process.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure system integration and adherence.
  • Monitor operations of nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices.
  • Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Provide nursing care to residents on an as needed basis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing activities/programs inclusive of community activities, special events, and media activities.
  • Have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the long-term care facility, including quality of resident care, program/care management, environmental safety, budget constraints, and responding to identified needs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Five years of nursing experience required, with housing with services, housing and urban development (HUD), and/or assisted living experience also helpful.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring.
