Job Summary:
The State of California is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician - Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our correctional health care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies and procedures, and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the health care team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients.
- Support daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
