Job Title: Psychiatric Technician (Safety)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician (Safety) to join our team at Centinela State Prison. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with the members of the larger healthcare team, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

  • Travel may be required.
