Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

UVA Health is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists in the main OR and satellite areas.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Formulate a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists.
- Implement and adjust patient monitoring and anesthesia delivery as needed to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Transfer patient care to other qualified providers post-operatively to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Support operating room procedures and participate in additional areas of responsibility within the expertise of the individual CRNA.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and contribute to the professional development of others.
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or eligibility to practice as a CRNA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- No experience required, but a strong foundation in nursing and anesthesia care is essential.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia and certified as a CRNA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.

We utilize the 'Anesthesia Team care model', involving anesthesiologists, CRNAs, residents, SRNAs, and anesthesia technologists. Our CRNAs administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in a variety of settings, including the main OR, outpatient surgical services, obstetrics, pediatrics, and off-site locations.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a range of $210K to $250K based on experience, as well as vacation time, professional development opportunities, and sign-on incentives for qualified candidates. Relocation assistance is also available per UVA Medical Center policy.
