The Senior Software Engineer position offers a competitive salary of $140,000 per year, with an additional annual discretionary bonus based on performance. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of our growing System Development team. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing new web-technologies based, multi-tier, user-facing financial applications with an accompanying ecosystem of supporting services.
You will partner with a team of developers and system architects to align our products and services with customer needs. Additionally, you will assist in establishing the strategy and roadmap for the scalability and performance of our internal systems to keep pace with company growth.
You will prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects based on specific criteria and business requirements. You will also monitor industry trends and technologies and implement best practices to improve in-house capabilities.
Your collaboration with IT peers will ensure the appropriate overall architecture of the Pma Financial Network System.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Experience designing solutions, building reusable code, and identifying errors/defects
- Strong database skills and excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with modern backend web technologies (real-time APIs, HTTP, JSON, Web Sockets) and Unix environment
- Development experience with Java, SQL, and Python
- Knowledge of Relational Databases (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or Oracle)
Bonus Requirements
While not required, experience in DevOps, MongoDB, JavaScript, banking, asset management, or other financial services will help you stand out as a top candidate.
