Medical Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and staff.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians with exams and procedures, including preparing patients for treatment and maintaining a clean and organized exam room.
- Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes, and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.
- Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Answer patient telephone calls and provide referral information to physicians and nurses.
- Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
- Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- 1+ years of experience as a CMA in a clinic or outpatient setting.
- BCLS or CPR certification within 6 months of start date.
- Computer skills, including working in Athena daily.
- Self-starter with a good work ethic, organized, and professional.
- Oncology experience is a plus.
