Maintenance Technician - Early Morning Shift

This role offers a competitive pay package and a unique work-life balance with a 3-day workweek. The schedule is from Friday to Sunday, 5:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a pay range of $25.00-$28.56 per hour, based on experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of conveyors, building equipment, machinery, and electrical/controls systems in our Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety and safety of the DC associates.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Motor Drives (Servo and VFD), and external Input/Output (I/O) devices.
  • Diagnoses electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools.
  • Assists other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Initiates and implements new procedures and creates designs to keep present equipment/systems operating at 100% efficiency.
  • Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment with the Maintenance department.
  • Communicates with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to minimize downtime of equipment.
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Makes sure workmanship is of the highest quality.
Qualifications

Candidates must have coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology, including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment. PLC/PC program knowledge and troubleshooting experience are also required. Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems, are necessary. Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controls devices/networking are also required. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, relating technical issues to business leadership, is essential.
