Job Title: Project Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering and Design Team at Olsson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed engineering tasks, including project design, cost estimates, and design calculations, utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
  • Prepare project documents, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, aligning with project objectives.
  • Independently tackle complex assignments, developing new and improved techniques and procedures.
  • Coordinate across other Olsson teams and direct team members on design tasks to maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Work closely with project managers on the execution of design work, reporting overall progress and managing potential challenges to meet project objectives.
  • Assist with the project scope of work and schedule and may attend client meetings to foster strong partnerships.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of less experienced staff, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Maintain project and client information within the firm's project management system.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Must be a registered professional engineer with at least six years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of International Building Codes.
