About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher Team Member to join our kitchen team at Whole Foods Market.

As a Dishwasher Team Member, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen area. You will be responsible for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness of the floor, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.

In addition to your dishwashing duties, you will assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products. You will also ensure that all products are handled and stored according to company standards.

We are looking for a team player who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. If you have excellent communication skills, are passionate about cleanliness, and are able to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
  • Assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
  • Ensure that all products are handled and stored according to company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing.

Requirements:

  • No prior retail experience required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing/walking 6-8 hours per day.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures up to 90°F.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
