Electrical Engineer for Display Module Development

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the development and validation of display modules across various Apple products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with talented team members and contribute to exciting design applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive display module electrical design from concept phase through engineering builds and into volume manufacturing.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Optical, Mechanical, Silicon, System, Software, Product Design, and external vendors.
  • Determine component level requirements, develop schematic designs, and manage layout of highly constrained multilayer PCBs to achieve functional and performance objectives.
  • Analyze and feedback on mechanical and thermal constraints impacting EE design.
  • Manage and support module vendors and contract manufacturers.
  • Perform failure analysis on problems found in integration and manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • BS degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Circuit knowledge at IC or PCB level, including Power or Analog or Mixed-signal.
  • Experienced in IC or PCB layout and hands-on experience in implementing designs from scratch and circuit simulation.
  • Proficient with lab equipment and test automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-volume electronics from concept to mass production, including manufacturing support.
  • Familiarity with common peripheral interfaces, such as LVDS, DisplayPort, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SWD, UART.
  • Experience with mobile platform EE design and integration.
  • Experience with digital logic, including MCU, CPLD, FPGA.
  • Knowledge of modern display technologies and experience in optical module development, such as LCD, TFT, OLED.
