Ophthalmic Sales Specialist

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Sales Consultant. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our ophthalmic medical diagnostic imaging devices and supporting existing users.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve annual sales quotas and promote the value proposition of our products to new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales management, field applications, and service teams, to achieve sales goals.
- Represent Heidelberg Engineering at local, regional, and national symposia, trade shows, and congresses to educate customers on the value of our products.
- Engage with marketing and applications teams to provide in-territory field sales and marketing activities, such as peer-to-peer sales roadshows, seminars, and webinars.
- Build and maintain a database of prospective customers and manage sales leads using CRM software.
- Provide product training and installation support as needed and contribute to product support.
- Generate and present quotes to customers and communicate all related billings and insurance and delivery details.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of related sales experience in the medical/capital industry and/or ophthalmology and optometry. You must have proven experience in territory sales planning, prospecting, cold calling, hands-on product demo capabilities, and sales presentation skills.
You should be a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly and openly on all business aspects to the sales and HQ management team. You should be flexible in a dynamic team environment and able to work with minimal supervision. Travel is estimated at 50-60%.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory aspects and guidelines, such as FDA guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and the implementation of the Sunshine Act for individuals in sales positions in the pharmaceutical or medical device arena.
