Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and innovate production automation systems to enhance operational performance.
  • Work alongside optical, electrical, and other engineering professionals to create assembly solutions utilizing SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of manufacturing equipment for new product introductions.
  • Efficiently maintain and update engineering documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and program robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
  • Provide support on the production floor, identify scrap reduction opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical standards for plant machinery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Expertise in 3D CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks proficiency.
  • Proven experience in robotics programming.
  • Strong capability in design for manufacturability, especially in assembly processes.
  • Experience with machining tools such as mills, lathes, saws, and drills.
  • Familiarity with factory documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
  • Ability to efficiently organize project tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in machine design, automation, and HMI development.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct cost/benefit analyses on projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience (10+ years preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in automation, design, or assembly.
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
