Role Summary:
This position involves overseeing all ranch operations and ensuring the optimal growth of fryers. The ideal candidate will manage ranch activities, maintain facilities, and uphold strict health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all ranch functions related to assigned fryers.
- Ensure the proper setup and management of the ranch environment, including brooding, temperature control, and ventilation.
- Maintain ranch facilities in excellent condition, coordinating with maintenance for necessary repairs.
- Implement and monitor sanitation protocols, promptly reporting any health concerns to the Field Supervisor.
- Respond effectively to emergencies affecting poultry welfare at any time.
- Manage ranch production expenses, including labor, utilities, and supplies.
- Keep detailed records of all ranch operations, including feed usage and production metrics.
- Train and delegate tasks to ranch staff while enforcing safety and animal welfare standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in turkey production and completion of the Turkey Grow Out Training Program.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Proficient in mathematics and organizational tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized ranch environment.
