Role Responsibilities:
This position involves working remotely with potential travel to auto repair facilities for in-person assessments and State Farm offices as necessary. The Appraiser team plays a vital role in assisting clients, explaining coverage, estimating vehicle damage, and guiding them through the claims process while delivering exceptional service.
Key Duties Include:
- Utilizing automated estimating systems to generate repair estimates
- Providing technical support to claims handlers regarding vehicle repair matters
- Applying knowledge of market value and reparability factors
- Evaluating bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues
Qualifications:
- Experience in auto collision repair, damage estimating, or as an insurance appraiser
- Proficiency in evaluating vehicle damage and formulating repair estimates, which may require physical activity
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Preferred: Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License
- A valid driver's license is mandatory
Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility in work shifts and may be required to work overtime or irregular hours as business needs dictate. All employees must complete necessary training, including licensing exams and background checks.
