Role Summary
The Evening Financial Coordinator is tasked with the reconciliation of all financial transactions that transpired throughout the day at the establishment. This role involves reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports promptly while ensuring the precision of guest billing.
Additionally, the individual will effectively communicate any concerns or related issues to all management levels and fulfill guest service responsibilities as needed, which include check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and handling reservations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, equipment, and lobby.
- Input and modify reservation details in the computer system.
- Post charges to guest accounts accurately.
- Investigate and analyze discrepancies, making adjustments or corrections as necessary.
- Complete various computer audit reports diligently.
- Provide courteous and genuine hospitality consistently, understanding the essence of excellent customer service.
- Address and respond to customer complaints and needs calmly, advising effectively or seeking management assistance when required.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisors and hotel staff.
- Adhere to training guidelines, exercising good judgment and common sense.
- Close, balance, and make necessary corrections to guest accounts.
- Balance shift work and cash drawers efficiently.
- Deliver gracious hospitality to all customers.
- Foster a productive and positive atmosphere, maintaining good relationships with all associates and departments.
- Strive to represent the company and brand in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Notify the organization of any actions or situations that may pose a threat to employees, customers, or guests.
- Observe safety and security protocols, using equipment and materials appropriately.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all business matters, both on and off duty.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & TRAINING
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior auditing experience is preferred.
- Experience in guest service is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
