Dermatology Professor Position

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a full-time or part-time, tenure or non-tenure, open rank Professor of Dermatology specializing in Mohs Surgery.

The Department sees approximately 25,000 visits at its main campus and is looking for a second Mohs surgeon to complement our team of clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching of residents and medical students
  • Direct patient care
  • Participation in scholarly activities

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree
  • ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology
  • Fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery
  • Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Rank is dependent on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.

This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
