Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing operations in the Mix and Component Prep areas across various shifts. The primary shift assignment will be either C or D shift, depending on staffing needs.
*Flexibility to work all shifts is required:
A: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
B: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
C: Monday & Tuesday 11pm - 7am and Saturday & Sunday 7am - 7pm
D: Thursday & Friday 11pm - 7am and Saturday & Sunday 7pm - 7am
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses production issues impacting quality or efficiency, identifies root causes, and supervises necessary corrective measures. Responsible for guiding the hourly workforce in implementing these actions.
- Assesses material contributions to production challenges and collaborates with various departments to ensure quality and availability. Provides recommendations for improvements to teams and suppliers.
- Analyzes equipment-related issues and communicates the need for corrective actions to production and maintenance supervisors. Ensures the effectiveness of solutions based on performance outcomes.
- Educates manufacturing staff on the rationale behind procedures and their implications for product quality.
- Investigates causes of rejected materials and determines corrective actions. Makes decisions regarding production continuity and resource allocation to resolve issues. Acts as the primary contact for quality concerns in their designated area.
- Leads the hourly workforce in managing corrective actions and initiates quality or safety disciplinary measures as necessary, or escalates to Area Managers when appropriate.
- Develops, tracks, and reports on production performance metrics.
- Recognizes that opportunities may arise requiring adaptation to management directives beyond standard job responsibilities.
- Shift assignments will necessitate flexibility and potential overtime as required.
- Commits to and advocates for "Excellence Through Teamwork" across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Associate's degree in a Technical Science field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred experience in quality or technical roles within a manufacturing setting.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
