Job Title: Process Engineer II

About the Role:
As a Process Engineer II at Linde Engineering North America LLC, you will play a crucial role in providing information throughout the various proposal, engineering, and construction phases to the proposal and project teams with regard to all aspects of Process Engineering. Your responsibilities will include performing a thorough review of customer's inquiry and/or request for process design information, conducting process simulations, and developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MB's).

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide information throughout the various proposal, engineering, and construction phases to the proposal and project teams with regard to all aspects of Process Engineering.
• Perform a thorough review of customer's inquiry and/or request for process design information.
• Conduct process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MB's).
• Develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment data sheets.
• Prepare material selection designation (diagram) for plant requirements, as well as develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with proposals.
• Calculate plant recoveries and utility requirements and suggest, guarantee Levels to Management and develop Line Sizes and Definition of Line Sizes.
• Perform Hydraulic Calculations and periodically participate in HAZOP studies.
• Assist in Plant start-up activities, as required and direct performance testing of the plant and deliver results report.

Requirements:
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of one or more process simulators such as Unisa and/or HYSYS, and amine treating simulators ProMax or ProTreat.
• Competency in HTRI for rating Plate fin, Shell & Tube and Air-cooled Exchangers, in Flare net Analyzer and in using Vendor software for Tay hydraulics and compressor ratings.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software and Windows Operating system and strong Excel skill.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, can prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Detail orientated, creative and innovative.
• Effective analytical and problems solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively process concepts to both in-house clients and Linde Process.
