Gear Cutter

About the Role:

The Gear Cutter position is a key member of our manufacturing team at Snyder Industries, Inc. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to run internal and external gears as required. This role involves measuring products while running on machines, holding given tolerance, and working in a team environment to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and independently run gear shapers, hobbers, and grinders while following instructions from engineering staff.
• Measure products using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Comply with safety regulations and give close attention to detail to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

• Attentive to detail and organized with mechanical abilities and math competencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.

Work Environment:

This position operates on the manufacturing floor, and the employee will be responsible for looking at all angles of parts in the machine and on pallets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must lift up to fifty (50) lbs. occasionally.
