Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Demolition Superintendent to join our team at Veit & Company Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily site activities, including workforce and equipment requirements.
  • Schedule subcontractors to complete work as needed and monitor their progress.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
  • Complete daily record keeping, including logs, equipment schedules, and time cards.
  • Manage field personnel in a fair and equitable manner, addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and regular job site meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all work follows specified quality standards and inspect field work for quality compliance.
Requirements
  • Five to ten years' experience in heavy industrial demolition.
  • OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad, and iPhone.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, when working with all levels of management and employees, external vendors, and other business associates.
