Job Summary

As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for leading and organizing crews to conduct maintenance activities, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our infrastructure and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and organize crews to conduct maintenance activities, including infrastructure, facilities, and general operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance activities, including work with other supervisors and lead personnel.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks.
  • Assist the Public Works Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing operations during heavy snow events.
  • Supervise prescribed snow removal operations, ensuring ice control and light snow events are completed efficiently.
  • Acquire and dispose of materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with City policies.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
Working Conditions

Outside and shop conditions in all weather, with occasional scheduled overtime, on-call time, and unscheduled weekend hours or work after normal working hours responding to emergencies.
