Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi to join our team at Medical City Las Colinas. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, or State Registered Respiratory Therapist must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP).
