Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi to join our team at Medical City Las Colinas.
About the RoleThe Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100+ bed full service, acute-care facility. We offer a wide range of services, including dedicated women's services, Level II NICU, robotic surgery and emergency services.
