Grounds Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our client's properties.
Responsibilities- Utilize chainsaws to efficiently remove brush, logs, and stumps from larger trees, ensuring safe operation from ground level.
- Load and unload trucks with various materials such as logs, stumps, brush, and debris. Assist in feeding brush into a wood chipper or transporting it to designated areas.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate machinery and equipment, including chainsaws, wood chippers, and trucks with attached trailers, while prioritizing safety precautions.
- Prepare and apply herbicides and growth regulators to stumps and brush according to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly storing tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks, chippers, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified.
- Physical capability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.
- Tolerance for working in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, sun, cold, and snow.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively understand instructions and communicate with colleagues.
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Possession of a valid herbicide applicator or operator certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and relevant regulations.
- Current First-Aid and CPR certifications.
