Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Vice President, Planning, Design & Construction to provide strategic leadership and direction for campus-wide master, capital, and space planning. This key role will oversee the development, oversight, and execution of multi-year campus capital construction plans, including academic, research, housing, and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of efficient and effective processes to align internal and external participants in program delivery.
  • Collaborate with University leadership, divisions, and external resources to achieve the University's strategic plan and campus master plan.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports and the overall team to foster self-sufficiency, empowerment, and peak performance.
  • Advocate for design excellence in projects that enhance environments for work, learning, and study.
  • Oversee campus design and construction activities, including building renovation projects and major construction projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Seven years of relevant work experience, including at least three years of supervision.
  • A license to practice at least one of the following professions: architecture, urban design, city planning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree.
  • Ten years of relevant work experience.
