Job Summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a skilled Hospital Attendant - Patient Transporter to join our team. As a Hospital Attendant, you will play a vital role in transporting patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies to all areas of the hospital, prioritizing timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Locate and retrieve equipment for inventory replenishment.
  • Transport deceased patients to the hospital morgue.
  • Wash equipment in the equipment washing area.
  • Monitor dispatching responsibilities, including answering phones, logging calls, and dispatching personnel.
  • Perform daily scheduled runs for report delivery, supplies, and medical records.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma and previous experience working in a hospital setting or with the patient population.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
