Jobot is a dynamic and growing company in the finance industry, seeking a highly skilled Permanent Staff Accountant to join our reputable organization. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial health and driving our company's financial operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated accountant with a passion for finance and a drive to succeed. As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for participating in the month-end close process, performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations, managing intercompany billings and charge billings, and calculating and booking various accruals.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage intercompany billings and charge billings, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Calculate and book various accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in monthly financial reporting, providing critical data to inform business decisions.
  • Administer budgets, working closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Conduct a detailed review of the accounts payable process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Resolve general accounts receivable issues, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure prompt payment.
  • Manage fixed assets, ensuring all assets are accurately accounted for and depreciated correctly.
  • Administer the company's credit card program, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Provide direct support to the Controller, assisting with various tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a particular focus on month-end close, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany billings, charge billings, and accrual calculations.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, budget administration, accounts payable review, accounts receivable management, fixed asset management, and credit card program administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
