Job Overview

Amedisys Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the GUILFORD/FORSYTH COUNTY area.

About the Job

This role offers an attractive pay rate of $20.00/hr with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including ambulation, transferring, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, and perform homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
  • Observe, report, and document any changes in patient's status, ensuring timely communication with primary nurses.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises and perform simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin as instructed by registered nurses or therapists.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant essential.
  • CNA experience within the last two years preferred; completion of another training and competency program may be required if more than two years since previous experience.
  • Current CPR certification necessary.
