About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Architect to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to lead the architectural technical decisions and direction for our cloud solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud solutions that meet business needs and automate business processes.
  • Oversee the development of software applications and platforms, ensuring high quality and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and clients to identify application and business requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and recommend their implementation and exploitation.
  • Lead the architecture of specializations such as App/Integration, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, Platform, and Security.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in software architecture at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions, cloud solutions, applications, integrations, security, and platform engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience designing solutions in AWS.
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff Software Engineers and developers.
  • Experience defining and maintaining accountability to Architectural Design Patterns.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and tools.
  • Expertise in Application Security principles and 12-factor application development principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert level proficiency in technologies such as Javascript, Typescript, AWS, ROSA, Cloudwatch, DevSecOps, and GitLab CI/CD concepts.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certificate(s).
  • Experience working in an airline technology environment.
