Radiology Technologist PRN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Methodist Mansfield Ambulatory Surgery Center LLC. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain patient flow and achieve production goals while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment such as computed radiography (CR), fluoroscopy, computerized axial tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) independently.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and quality of images prior to sending them to PACS.
  • Follow radiation safety measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff and comply with governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed of new medical imaging equipment and standards of patient care.
  • Review current literature and attend meetings and seminars to stay up-to-date on new developments in the field.
  • Provide patient education for diagnostic testing.
  • Ensure diagnostic testing reports are available to medical staff.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including an apron, thyroid shield, and film badge.
  • Stock rooms with supplies and linen and maintain refrigerator, freezer, and contrast warmer logs.
  • Train newly hired technologists in the operation of job-specific radiology equipment, maintaining proper patient flow, and following protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • ARRT certification
  • TDSHS-MRT certification
  • Comfortable operating C-ARM in an OR environment

An Associate's degree is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. One or two years of related experience is also required.
