About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Specialty team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis
    • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient conditions.
    • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform patient care.
  • Treatment and Intervention
    • Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and treatments as needed.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments and evidence-based medicine.
  • Patient Education and Counseling
    • Counsel patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and health promotion.
    • Provide education on medication management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care and treatment plans.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
    • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical specialties.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
