Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished professional to serve as the Director of Assessment and Engagement for the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences at Clemson University. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing assessment and engagement activities for the college, working closely with college leaders to develop and implement strategies that enhance the college's support of Clemson Elevate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engagement: Develop and implement Pillar III Clemson Elevate metrics and programming for CBSHS, working with departments/units/centers/schools to develop and implement Pillar III non-health related engagement activities, including community engagement and partnerships.
  • Industry Partnerships: Work closely with lead/key CU industry-partners/offices to develop and strengthen industry partnerships for CBSHS, working closely with CBSHS departments/units/centers/schools to develop industry partnerships and expand industry partnerships for the college per Clemson Elevate guidelines.
  • Assessment: Manage all data and analyses related to college-level assessment, developing and implementing CBSHS evaluation and assessment methodology to meet accreditation and program approval standards.
  • Accreditation: Provide support for accreditation processes from initiation through final site visits and follow up, including the writing of accreditation reports in partnership with units.
  • Entrepreneurship: Expand CBSHS footprint in entrepreneurship opportunities working closely with all CU offices devoted to entrepreneurism, per Clemson Elevate guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Senior faculty status (e.g., tenured, senior associate or full professor) with a doctorate in subject areas related to CBSHS disciplines.
  • Demonstrated record of funded external grants and publications.
  • Understanding of CBSHS disciplines and experiences with engagement and community outreach.
  • Understanding of the changing landscape of higher education.
  • Experience with evaluation and assessment methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a hands-on manner, adjusting to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with faculty and staff in the academic and professional environment.
  • Work with confidentiality.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive professional environment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
