Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Ascension Macomb Hospital. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the processing and sterilization of surgical instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure quality and completeness
  • Perform decontamination and sterilization of instruments, equipment, and containers according to established protocols
  • Correct instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets
  • Maintain proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts
  • Perform regular quality assurance program audits of peers
Requirements
  • One or more of the following certifications: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing or Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
