Specification Sales Representative

Fry Reglet Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Specification Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing sales by building strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, contractors, and distributors. This exciting role involves design collaboration, sales, influencing product specifications, and providing technical expertise to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities and provide specification support.
- Utilize provided resources to identify qualified upcoming opportunities and guide specification support.
- Understand the technical aspects of our product lines to effectively communicate with customers and address their questions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions to showcase the features and benefits of our products.
- Collaborate with architects on early and late-stage conversions.
- Collaborate with the internal team to provide technical expertise and guidance to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the architectural and construction industry.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market needs to identify new business prospects and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals and close deals to achieve sales and specification targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and post-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or experience working in a specification/sales position in the building materials channel.
- Additional certifications, like CSI CDT (Construction Document Technologist), CSI CCPR (Certified Construction Product Representative), and others.
- Combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Prior experience with Dodge software or equivalent a plus.
- Experience in Inside Sales/Customer Service/Outside Sales environment a plus.
