Job Summary

The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will report to the Division Director of Education and be responsible for developing and conducting education programs that enable staff across the division to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to support unit(s), Service Line and Medical Center goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct education programs for staff across the division
  • Enable staff to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to support unit(s), Service Line and Medical Center goals
  • Collaborate with Division Director of Education to achieve clinical and quality measures, operational efficiency, financial targets, and population/age specific needs of the assigned department(s)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of three years of applied clinical experience as an RN
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred
  • Current South Carolina licensure as a registered nurse or compact state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Certification required
