Traveling Medical-Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical nurse to join our team for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Washington, D.C.

Job Summary:

As a Medical-Surgical nurse, you will provide direct care to adult patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals and clinics. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-advocacy
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Washington
  • 2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
