Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

As a key member of the JLS Mailing Services team, the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will oversee the coordination of activities within the shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas. This includes supervising the processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate activities within the shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas
Perform UPS, FedEx, and other courier services as required
Review work orders and production control sheets for accuracy
Operate proficiently in bindery tasks, including cutting, folding, stitching, padding, and other related tasks
Conduct window checks to ensure proper placement of the address block
Assist with finishing and packing as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Develop knowledge and skills as needed to adapt to changing business requirements
Ensure safety of material storage on the floor and in warehouses, adhering to applicable laws and regulations
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed
Requirements:
College or high school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in digital printing or mailing industry
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and resourcefully with minimal oversight
Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as in-house applications
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with federal, state, and local standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone and in person
